Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Bhubaneswar and transfer to Ratnagiri

Arrive at Bhubaneswar Railway Station or Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar. From the point of arrival, head directly to Ratnagiri, guided by the hotel representative. Reaching there and completing the checking-in procedures, set out for a trip to Udaigiri hills (not to be confused with the Udaygiri and Khandagiri Caves). Next, visit the oldest known Buddhist Monastery in Lalitgiri. If further time permits, visit some of the popular Buddhist spots in Ratnagiri and then retreat back to the hotel and stay overnight at Ratnagiri.
Day 2

Bhitarkanika Trip

Check out from the hotel at Ratnagiri after breakfast and reach Bhitarkanika National Park, crossing the Brahmani River, driving for about 3 hours and 20 minutes. Check into a pre-booked resort and get some rest. After lunch, go for boating and head to the bird sanctuary. If there is still time for the sunset then, proceed with the boat ride to the confluence of Brahmani and Baitarani River to watch the sunset. Then come back to the resort after sunset, enjoy a campfire, and have dinner.
Day 3

Morning excursion at Bhitarkanika National Park

Rise up early in the morning and after breakfast head to the Khola entry point of the national park to embark on the boat to delve deeper into the Mangrove areas of Bhitarkanika. Crocodiles are the most frequent sights on the banks of the river. Disembarking from the boat, go for a jungle trekking inside the dense forests of Bhitarkanika. There is an ancient Shiva Temple in the forest, worth a visit. Get back to the boat to visit the museum located inside the Bhitarkanika National Park. Next, return to the resort, have lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 4

Departure

Check out from the resort and drive to either Bhubaneswar Airport or Railway Station. Alternatively, Bhadrak railway Station is the closest railhead from Bhitarnika National Park.
